June 27, 2023 Morice Chukwu Pens Emotional Farewell to Rivers United.
Former Akwa United Midfielder, Morice Chukwu has taken to his Facebook page to pen an emotional farewell to Rivers United Fans and supporters as he gets set to make a move away from the pride of Rivers. The message titled
“THANK YOU RIVERS UNITED!!!” Read thus;
“After many beautiful seasons my stage at Rivers United F. C. comes to an end.
In the last couple of weeks, I have been engaged in a very emotional conversation with Management and the Board of Directors concerning my future.
After several consultations, it was resolved that my desire to continue my career path elsewhere after two and half years of dedicated service to this family be respected by all involved.
I wish to specially thank The Honorable Sports Commissioner of Rivers State, Sir Bar. Chris Green.
My appreciation also goes to Dr. Okechukwu Kpalukwu (General Manager), my workaholic Coach, Stanley Eguma, our amiable Secretary Ahmed Abdulraman, my lovely Skippo, Festus Austin. Also the Management, Technical Crew, Players, backroom staff and supporters of Rivers United for their unwavering support throughout my years with the team.
It’s been a pleasure and an honour to play for this club, we won together and had many beautiful memories. The decision has been made, I take with me wonderful and unforgettable memories.
I will always be Rivers United’s number one fan.
I will forever cherish my time with the family.
Come on The Pride of Rivers!!!
Total Victory always!!!
