September 19, 2022 Women Farmers in the South-South Appeal to Government for Aid to Retire Menial Farm Implements
Women farmers in the South-South region of Nigeria have resolved to retire the hoes, machetes and other menial farm implements to the museum to give way for mechanized farming tools to aid food security and sufficiency.   To achieve this, they are appealing to government and other donor agencies to provide them with mechanized implements.   Correspondent DIANIME UKO, in this special report highlights some issues women farmers in Nigeria are facing and their demands in order to ensure food sufficiency and security in the country.
