December 22, 2021 EARCOM Boss preaches Peace, Love and Reconciliation at Christmas
Executive Chairman of the Ethical and Attitudinal Reorientation Commission, EARCOM, Dr Dorothy Thompson has urged the good people and residents of Akwa Ibom to use this year’s Christmas to promote peace, love, reconciliation and care for others. In a Christmas Message, Dr Thompson said the season exemplifies peace, advising that Akwa Ibom people should embrace the clarion call of Governor Udom Emmanuel to maintain peace always love care for others. The EARCOM Chairman who observed that the recent statewide inauguration of the Maintain Peace Movement, MPM, is a welcome development and is exactly what should be professed and propagated during the yuletide and beyond. She particularly commended Governor Emmanuel who she observed is a peace advocate in his policies and style of governance and urged the people to use this year’s Christmas to erect platforms of love, peace and reconciliation for the greater development of the state. The EARCOM Chairman advised Akwa Ibom people to pray for the State to enjoy greater peace for the State government to consolidate on her developmental programmes that have made the state first amongst equals. She assured the people of the State that Governor Emmanuel will remain focused in his delivery of the Completion Agenda with pro-people projects and programmes to improve their standard of living. While wishing Akwa Ibom people and residents a Merry Christmas, Dr Dorothy Thompson however charge all to be security conscious, report suspected security threats to the authorities and avoid indulging in social vices such as revelry, prostitution, rape, gender based violence, fraud, violence and all forms of criminality so they don’t face the wrath of the law.
