Nigerian Grammy award winning musician Burna Boy has won the award for Best International Act at the Black Entertainment Awards (BET) 2023. Burna beat Ayra Starr, Aya Nakamura, Central Cee, Ella Mai, K.O, L7nnon, Stormzy, Tiakola and Uncle Waffles to emerge winner in the category. The Nigerian singer, real name; Damini Ogulu, who has had amazing last couple years, was not present to receive the awardbut his mother and Manager Bose Ogulu, received the award on his behalf. His 2022 album Love, Damini was a worldwide success. He also took home a BET Award in the same category in 2019 and 2021.
