An airplane carrying 57 passengers and 4 crew members has crashed in Brazil’s Sao Paulo state, killing everyone on board, the worst airline incident in the Country since 2007.

The aircraft, an ATR 72-500 operated by Voepass airline, was traveling from Cascavel in southern Parana state to Sao Paulo’s Guarulhos international airport when it crashed in the city of Vinhedo.

Images broadcast on local media showed a large plane spinning as it plummeted almost vertically, while other footage showed a large column of smoke rising from the crash site in what appeared to be a residential area.

Spain Claim Gold at 2024 Paris Olympics Men’s Football With 5-3 win Over France

Spain continued their recent dominance of international football by edging past France – who fought back from 3-1 down to force extra time – to win Olympic men’s gold at Paris 2024.

A pulsating match saw the hosts take an early lead, quickly fall 3-1 behind before half-time and then mount a stunning second-half comeback.

However, THIERRY HENRY’s side could not see the job through as Spain substitute SERGIO CAMELLO kept calm in the most tense of situations to score twice in the extra period.

Both goals sparked jubilant celebrations among the Spanish, who mobbed Rayo Vallecano forward Camello as they won Olympic gold for the first time since 1992.

The thrilling triumph continued Spain’s success, little over a month after they won the men’s European Championship, beating England in the final.

Affirming the receipt of the funds, Governor SULE explained that states received the money in batches, with the latest received in June, 2024.

It is however a different story coming out from Oyo state, where the Governor has denied taking part in the ₦570bn hardship grant claimed to have been given to the state governments by the Federal Government.

In a newsletter personally signed by the governor, SEYI MAKINDE and shared on his X handle on Thursday, the Governor said that the state was not in the know of such a grant.

MAKINDE’s denial comes on the heels of controversies that has greeted the nationwide hunger and hardship protests
