Chelsea boss MAURIZIO SARRI has been charged with misconduct after he was sent to the stands at the end of Monday’s 2-2 draw with Burnley.

 

Tensions boiled over at the end of the match at Stamford Bridge.

 

DAVID LUIZ and ASHLEY BARNES were involved in an altercation on the pitch and a scuffle took place near the tunnel entrance at the final whistle.

 

Blues assistant coach GIANFRANCO ZOLA said BURNLEY’s backroom staff “offended” SARRI.

Speaker of the House of Representatives, YAKUBU DOGARA, has decried the high rate of foreign medical trips by Nigerians, calling for a total overhaul of the health sector to allow for efficiency.

 

DOGARA was speaking at a public hearing organised by the House Committee on Health on two bills at the National Assembly.

 

DOGARA said the high number of Nigerians who go on foreign medical trips and the attendant brain drain are indications that the health sector requires a serious surgical operation.

PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI VISITS BORNO STATE; SET TO TRAVEL TO THE UK

President MUHAMMADU BUHARI is in Maiduguri, Borno state on a working visitwhere he has inaugurated various projects executed by the Borno Government in Maiduguri metropolis such as Borno State University; Maiduguri Industrial hub, schools, roads and re-modeled Maiduguri Specialist Hospital.

 

Hundreds of Maiduguri residents were on the streets to welcome the president, as Borno Government declared today public holiday to enable residents welcome the president.

 

According to a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, FEMI ADESINA, at the end of the visit, President BUHARI will be proceeding to the United Kingdom on a private visit.

 

He is expected to return to Nigeria on the 5th of May.

SUDAN’S MILITARY ARRESTS TWO BROTHERS OF DEPOSED PRESIDENT OMAR AL-BASHIR

Sudan’s military rulers have arrested two brothers of deposed President, OMAR AL-BASHIR, as hundreds of people marched in the capital, Khartoum, calling for a swift handover of power to civilian leadership.

 

Spokesman for the transitional military council, SHAMS AL-DIN KABASHI said that ABDULLAH AL-BASHIR and ALABAS AL-BASHIR were taken into custody as part of a continuing campaign of arrests against “symbols and leaders of the previous regime”.

 

The announcement came as sources said Sudanese authorities have transferred AL-BASHIR from “house-arrest” to the Kobar prison in northern Khartoum.
