Nduese Essien Commends Udom Emmanuel on Completion Agenda

former Minister of Lands, Housing, and Urban Development, Chief NDUESE ESSIEN has commended Governor UDOM EMMANUEL on his completion agenda, maintaining that but for distractions; the Governor would have finished all ongoing projects before now.

Addressing newsmen in Eket following the commissioning of 23.4 kilometre Eket-Etinan Road, Chief ESSIEN said the Governor would have achieved far beyond expectations but for the distraction he suffered from the beginning of his tenure in 2015 through court cases.

Chief ESSIEN, a two term House of Representatives member for Eket Federal Constituency, said the political time table for a governor is very short and does not give room to accommodate unnecessary distractions.

He called on the Governor-elect, Pastor UMO ENO to ensure strict continuity of projects started by his predecessors for rapid transformation of the State and for the people to give him maximum support.

Victor Osimhen Bangs in Scudetto for Napoli

Italian giants, Napoli have won their first Serie A title after 33 years, as they drew with Udinese at Dacia Arena to spark jubilant celebrations back home in Naples.

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen smashed in a 52nd-minute equaliser after Sandi Lovric had given Udinese a shock lead in the 13th minute.

Napoli held on to the end of the game to secure the lone point needed to win their third ever Scudetto title with five games to spare.

“Seeing Neapolitans happy is enough to give you a sense of that joy they are feeling,” Napoli boss Luciano Spalletti said.

“These people will look to this moment when life gets hard, they have every right to celebrate like this.

“You feel a bit more relaxed knowing that you’ve given them this moment of happiness.”

Napoli’s previous two titles came in the days of Argentina legend Maradona – who their stadium is now named after – in 1987 and 1990.
