 Lamine Yamal became the youngest scorer in the history of the European Championships with a stunning equaliser. Moments later, Dani Olmo saw his fierce effort go in off Joules Kounde—a goal that proved to be the winner.

 Spain will now face either England or the Netherlands; who trade tackles later today for a spot in Sunday’s final.

Bayern Munich Land Michael Olise From Crystal Palace

Bayern Munich have secured the signature French forward, MICHAEL OLISE, from English premier league side;Crystal Palace.

German magazine, Kicker, reported Bayern paid a release clause of 70 million euros to the Premier League club to secure OLISE’s services on a five-year deal.

Born in London, OLISE has represented France’s youth teams and will play for Les Bleus under Coach THIERRY HENRY at the Paris Olympics in August.

OLISE scored 10 goals and provided six assists in 19 Premier League games last season for the London club.

Super Eagles to Know AFCON 2025 Qualifers Foes Today

The Super Eagles of Nigeria who have been Three-time champions and five-time runners-up, will find out who their opponents for the qualification race of the 35th Africa Cup of Nations finals are today.

The draw for the 2025 AFCON will be conducted in South Africa’s commercial and economic capital, Johannesburg.

The Director of Communications at the Nigeria Football Federation, ADEMOLA OLAJIRE disclosed this in a statement in Abuja, noting that the draw will serve the 48 countries into 12 groups of four teams each.

The qualifying matches will be played over the FIFA windows of September, October and November this year.

Meanwhile, the Super Eagles have been placed in Pot one ahead of the draw ceremony. Also in pot one are; hosts Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, Cote d’Ivoire, Tunisia, Algeria, Cameroon, Mali, South Africa, DR Congo and Ghana.

France reached the quarter-finals of Euro 2024 on Monday after winning 1-0 in a tight contest with Belgium in Duesseldorf.

DIDIER DESCHAMPs’ France will play Portugal who took hostilities to the lottery of Penalties against Slovenia. France got into the last eight after Belgium defender JAN VERTONGHEN deflected Randal KOLO MUANI’s cross into his own net with five minutes remaining.

France had dominated the last-16 clash but their profligate finishing looked set to force extra time until they finally found a way through with five minutes left.

The lucky break sent the 2022 World Cup runners-up into a last-eight tie in Hamburg on Friday as they remain on course to become European champions for the third time.
