The head of information and public affairs for the NLC, Comrade BENSON UPAH stated this in Abuja, explaining that the major issue in the minimum wage negotiation with the government is prioritisation and political will.

Comrade UPAH described the governors’ desire to take over the negotiation as completely irrational, warning that placing labour on the concurrent list could lead to a multiplication of laws, making it difficult for investors to navigate the legal landscape.

He also noted that there could be potential socioeconomic consequences if states were allowed to set their own minimum wages.

Democrat Congressman Asks Biden to Step Aside From Presidential Race

Texas congressman, LLOYD DOGGETT has lead the way as the first sitting Democratic lawmaker to call for JOE BIDEN to step aside as the party’s presidential nominee, after his disastrous debate performance against DONALD TRUMP last week.

President BIDEN appeared to struggle through some responses during a debate with former President DONALD TRUMP last Thursday.

But despite intra-party panic over his mental fitness, Mr BIDEN has vowed to stay in the race. His age has been a long-simmering issue in the election, with voters in multiple polls saying they think he is too old to be effective.

But President BIDEN appears determined, and has not indicated that he will step down.
