Etinan LGA Boss Dissolves ALL Revenue Collection Committees

The Executive Chairman of Etinan Local Government Area Honourable Uko Umoh has approved the dissolution of all revenue committees operating on behalf of Etinan Local Government Area.

In a release signed by the Revenue Officer, UkpongEkpedeme Alexander and made available to the Press, the Council also announced the month of December as ticket free.

The release added that all heads of committees are to return all council properties in their possession for official documentation.

The release also warned that no individual or group is permitted to sell tickets for the month of December 2024.

Akwa Ibom Declares November 29 Work-Free Day in Honour of Patience Umo Eno

The Akwa Ibom State Government has declared Friday, November 29, 2024 as Work-Free Day in honour of the departed First Lady, Her Excellency, Pastor (Mrs.) PATIENCE UMO ENO.

The development which is in consultation with the bereaved family is part the final home-going programme of the departed First Lady.

According to a release signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Prince ENOBONG UWAH, the Work-Free Day is to enable Akwa Ibom people and other residents to pay their last respects to Pastor (Mrs.) PATIENCE UMO ENO at her obsequies in Ikot Ekpene Udo, Nsit Ubium Local Government Area on that day.

The release further prayed for the gentle soul of the departed First Lady to find repose in the bosom of the Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Yahaya Bello Back at EFCC

Former Governor of Kogi State; Yahaya Bello, has returned to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to honor another invitation over alleged misappropriation of funds.

Bello went to the office in the company of his lawyers on Tuesday morning, following the Supreme Court judgment which dismissed a suit brought by some states of the federation on the constitutionality of the anti-graft agency.

At the last hearing on November 14, the EFCC had sought for adjournment till November 27 in the fresh case it instituted against Bello, saying that the 30 days window was still running for the summons earlier issued.

It is however unclear how long the Anti-graft agency intends to keep the former Governor in its custody

NNPCL Announces Crude Oil Processing in Port Harcourt Refinery

The Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited says the Port Harcourt Refinery has commenced crude oil processing.

According to the Chief Corporate Communications Officer of the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) FEMI SONEYE, the refinery will operate at 60 percent capacity.

SONEYE disclosed this earlier today and noted that the refinery is processing 60,000 barrels per day of crude.

The Port Harcourt refinery has a combined 250 barrels per day capacity. This is coming after several failed commencement deadlines.
