AKHA Asssures that Governor Umo Eno Will Implement 2025 Budget

The Speaker Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Udeme Otong, has said that the details captured in the 2025 budget would be fully implemented by Governor Umo Eno.

Speaker Otong said this while declaring open a Public Hearing On the 2025 Appropriation Bill on Monday, the 9th of December, 2024, in the Assembly Complex, Uyo.

The Speaker disclosed that the state governor was involved in the 2025 budget exercise with all the MDAs, to capture concerns that would effectively address issues of the state in other to create multiplying effect that would improve the standard of living and economic growth for the people and state at large .

The Speaker however urged the stakeholders to feel free  in their contributions towards the Bill.

In her address, the Committee Chairman, Hon. Itorobong Etim said the essence of the public hearing was to provide an avenue where valuable inputs on the proposed  budget would  be assembled and collated to enhance the overall socio-economic development of the state.

While highlighting the budget, Commissioner for Finance,  Mr. Linus Nkan noted that the 2025 budget estimate christened “Budget of Consolidation and Expansion” is aimed at consolidating on the gains of previous and the current administration for the expansion of growth and development.

According to him, the government had proposed a total budgetary outlay of N955.000billion for the 2025 financial year as against the approved revised provision of N923.462 billion for 2024 making N31.538 billion which  represents 3% increase from the previous year.

Also speaking on the Bill include; Commissioner for Economic Development, Emem Bob; NLC Chairman, Akwa Ibom State Chapter, Comrade Sunny James; Chairman of CHRAN, Franklin Isong, among other stakeholders.

The leader’s whereabouts now, as well as those of his wife Asma and their two children, remain unknown, however it is suspected that He’s seeking refuge in the Soviet nation.

Footages and photos circulating on social media as the news emerged showed families ransacking presidential palaces in Damascus, looting government agencies with some taking selfies in the grand settings, as thousands celebrated in the streets.
