Governor Eno Faults Udom Emmanuel’s Arrest by EFCC, Tags it Disrespectful

Governor UMO ENO has expressed that the report regarding the arrest of former Akwa Ibom State Governor, UDOM EMMANUEL, by the economic and financial crimes commission EFCC over alleged 700 billion naira fraud is both disrespectful and unwarranted.

Speaking at a town hall meeting in Abak, which included the Abak, Etim Ekpo, and Ika Federal Constituencies, Governor ENO emphasised that the former governor should be recognized for his contributions to the state.

The governor said subjecting leaders to fraud probes after they have served their people well in office would discourage those currently in office from giving their best whilst in service.

It is important to note that last Tuesday; reports surfaced stating that former Governor UDOM EMMANUEL had been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in connection with an alleged 700 billion naira fraud.
