Akwa Ibom State Info Boss Assures That Umo Eno’s Visit to Tinubu not Political

The commissioner for Information, ANIEKAN UMANAH has described the scorecard presentation by Governor UMO ENO to President BOLA TINUBU, as a well thought out action which represents political inclusivity from the people of Nigeria.

Recall that Governor ENO, on Friday, led a delegation of state stakeholders from across party lines on a courtesy visit to President TINUBU, where he also presented his requests as part of his development projects in the state.

 Speaking on “Matters Arising With Dr. Pam” on Inspiration FM radio, Hon. UMANA highlighted some of the requests presented to the President, such as the provision of resources as well as revenue allocation from federal government to the state as a pathway to increased development in the state.

He further extolled the Akwa Ibom state Governor for the appeal on the Ibom Deep Seaport presented to the President on Sunday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The Commissioner for Special Duties and Ibom Deep Seaport, COMRADE INI EMEMOBONG, at the weekend visited the site of the International Convention Centre, Uyo to inspect the ongoing work.

 

Recall that Governor Umo Eno, during the Inter-Ministerial Briefing/End-of-the-Year Review in December 2024, had disclosed that construction work will recommence at the International Convention Centre.

 

In furtherance of the Governor’s vision for the project, COMRADE EMEMOBONG, while inspecting the facility, emphasised the need for the contractor to work within contract specifications, maintain quality, and ensure timely delivery.

He urged them to provide the Ministry with a comprehensive project construction drawings and final onsite assessment for review by the Ministry.

 

Conducting the Commissioner and his team around the facility on behalf of the contractor, Craneburg Construction, the Technical Engineer, ELIE SAAIB, noted that the work was still in the mobilisation stage and final confirmatory assessment of project elements, where series of tests like integrity test, pull-out test, among other confirmatory tests are being conducted on the facility.

Governor Umo Eno Reveals Reason Behind Requests to President Tinubu

Akwa Ibom State Governor, PASTOR UMO ENO has revealed why he presented only two key requests to President BOLA TINUBU during a recent stakeholders’ visit to the Presidential Villa.

The two requests were for the President’s support in developing the Ibom Deep Sea Port and for federal intervention in addressing the state’s gully erosion sites, particularly the Brook Street – Udo Inwang gully erosion reclamation project.

According to Governor Eno, these two projects require urgent attention and federal support to succeed.

He emphasized the importance of collaboration between the state and federal governments in addressing these critical issues.

The governor also highlighted the significance of the Ibom Deep Sea Port, which he noted has the potential to drive economic growth and development in the state.

Similarly, the gully erosion reclamation project he said, has transformed a previously devastated area into a resort, showcasing the state government’s commitment to environmental sustainability and infrastructure development.

Governor Eno reiterated his administration’s commitment to the welfare of Akwa Ibom State and its people, emphasizing that he will stop at nothing to ensure the actualization of the ARISE Agenda, the state’s development blueprint.

To achieve this, he announced plans to appoint delivery advisors to oversee specific projects and ensure their timely completion.

Dramatic scene that unfolded yesterday in Uyo as a prayer house, Knowledge of God Ministry, was evicted by court officials.

The church, located behind Dakkada Secretariat on Udo Udoma Avenue, Uyo, was allegedly operating under false and diabolic means.

According to an eyewitness who spoke with Inspiration FM News on the condition of anonymity, officials from the court had served the pastor an eviction notice following a petition by his landlord.

However, the pastor allegedly defied the order to quit, necessitating the court to dispatch a team of officials to enforce the eviction.

As the officials carried out the eviction, a crowd of onlookers gathered at the scene. It was during this time that fetish items and photographs of individuals were discovered on the church premises.

Our correspondent reports that the discovery sparked widespread outrage and concern among the crowd as the fetish items and photographs have raised questions about the genuineness of the ministry and the activities of the pastor.

Meanwhile, neither the pastor nor members of the church were available to comment on the issue. Also, the landlord, who reportedly petitioned the court for the eviction, was also unavailable for comment.
