Kaduna State Governor, Mallam NASIR EL-RUFAI, has commissioned a newly established 271 Nigerian Airforce Detachment, Birnin Gwari, Kaduna State to check the increasing activities of bandits and kidnappers terrorizing the area.

Speaking at the occasion, Governor EL-RUFAI
appealed to the Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal SADIQ ABUBAKAR, for the deployment of Special NAF Forces along the dreaded Kaduna-Abuja road and Kajuru Local Government Areas of the state which are notorious for insecurity

President MUHAMMADU BUHARI has returned to Abuja after a 10-day private visit to the UK.

 The President’s aircraft landed at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at 6.24 pm yesterday.

 In a statement on the arrival of the President, FEMI ADESINA, his spokesman, said some reckless online media and irresponsible political opposition and individuals, had gone on overdrive since the president left the country on April 25, insinuating that he was going for hospitalization, and would not return after 10 days as stated.

 President BUHARI was believed to have taken a vacation after his re-election campaign, although the classification of his trip as private by his media team led to suggestions that he took a medical leave.
