Akwa Ibom State Governor, PASTOR UMO ENO has revealed why he presented only two key requests to President BOLA TINUBU during a recent stakeholders’ visit to the Presidential Villa.
The two requests were for the President’s support in developing the Ibom Deep Sea Port and for federal intervention in addressing the state’s gully erosion sites, particularly the Brook Street – Udo Inwang gully erosion reclamation project.
According to Governor Eno, these two projects require urgent attention and federal support to succeed.
He emphasized the importance of collaboration between the state and federal governments in addressing these critical issues.
The governor also highlighted the significance of the Ibom Deep Sea Port, which he noted has the potential to drive economic growth and development in the state.
Similarly, the gully erosion reclamation project he said, has transformed a previously devastated area into a resort, showcasing the state government’s commitment to environmental sustainability and infrastructure development.
Governor Eno reiterated his administration’s commitment to the welfare of Akwa Ibom State and its people, emphasizing that he will stop at nothing to ensure the actualization of the ARISE Agenda, the state’s development blueprint.
To achieve this, he announced plans to appoint delivery advisors to oversee specific projects and ensure their timely completion.
