December 31, 2024 Warri Refinery Comes back On Stream

Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, Mele Kyari, has said that the 125, 000 barrels per day Warri Refinery is operating at 60 per cent capacity.

He revealed this during the tour of the facility yesterday.

A breakdown shows that 60 per cent of 125, 000 barrels per day production draws down to 75, 000 barrels of crude oil per day being processed by the facility.

Among the tour team was the Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, Farouk Ahmed.

Commissioned in 1978 and managed by the NNPCL, the WRPC was built to supply markets in the south and southwest regions of Nigeria.
