All roads will lead to the Local Government Council Field in Ikot Abasi tomorrow, Wednesday, June 4, 2025, as the people of Ikot Abasi Federal Constituency welcome, Governor Umo Eno, in the Arise Town Square Meetings and Empowerment Series.
The event, which begins at 2PM, is part of the Governor’s ongoing efforts to stay connected to the grassroots, listen to the people, and bring direct impact through empowerment and developmental support.
Speaking on the significance of the Governor’s upcoming meeting, a frontline entrepreneur from the area and the Managing Director of Hensek Integrated Services, Engr. Uwem Okoko, expressed deep appreciation for the Governor’s commitment to infrastructure and humanitarian development.
He commended the numerous roads, health facilities and schools remodeling projects and the compassionate housing initiatives—both ongoing and completed within the federal constituency as unquantifiable in value and impact.
Speaking ahead of the visit, the Commissioner for Works and Fire Service, Prof. Eno Ibanga, described the Governor’s visit to the federal constituency as both symbolic and deeply personal.
This edition of the Town Square Meeting will not only serve as a platform for robust dialogue between the government and the governed but will also feature a major empowerment session, offering critical support to traders, artisans, farmers, youth, and women groups across the federal constituency.
“His Excellency’s wife hails from this area, making him our in-law. For us, this is more than an official visit it’s a homecoming” Prof. Ibanga remarked.
He further praised the Governor’s consistency and results-oriented leadership, referring to him as “a man with the finisher’s anointing.” According to him, Mkpat Enin, one of the largest local government areas in Akwa Ibom and a strong contributor to the state’s electoral success, is prepared to give the Governor a grand and heartfelt welcome.
