Nigerian singer HARRYSONG has asked the government to make available proper systems that will protect artists’ work and tackle widespread music piracy.

The Afrobeats star who spoke during a Youth Forum  to mark Presiebt TINUBU’s 2nd year in office on said government’s intervention is crucial in solving these problems.

He therefore called for open dialogue between policymakers and experienced industry players.

In the same vein a Nollywood filmmaker, NIYI AKINMOLAYAN, attributed the withdrawal of some international movie streamers, such as Netflix and Amazon, from the Nigerian market to the devaluation of the naira.

The filmmaker blamed the government for not doing anything the cushion the effect of the withdrawal of these streamers. He lamented that the government is not engaging creators to find out what they really need to grow the industry.
