May 29, 2025 National Orientation Agency Advocates for Quality Education for Akwa Ibom Children

The National Orientation Agency – NOA in Akwa Ibom has advocated a quality education combined with effective skill development so as to significantly enhance the total well-being of children across the Country.

The advocacy which is an offshoot of deliberations from the 2025 children’s Day event in Uyo, also aimed at preparing the Children for not only for academic success but for life in a multifaceted society.

The Director of NOA in the State, Mr MKPOUTOM MKPOUTOM noted that skill development complements academic learning by equipping children with practical competencies required in the real world.

The State Director added that enhancing a child’s total well-being through quality education and skill development is an investment in both the individual and society.

Also speaking, the head of department for Youth Engagements and Inclusion of NOA Akwa Ibom Directorate, Mr ANIETIE UDOFIA noted that the enhancement of a child’s total well-being cannot be achieved through educational institutions alone.

While emphasizing that families and communities play a vital role in reinforcing the values and skills learned in School, Mr UDOFIA appealed to parents to  invest their time and resources in the skill development of their children.
