Governor UMO ENO has emphasized the pivotal role of the media as a channel for public communication, stating that his administration has no intention of engaging in conflict with the press.

The governor made this declaration during the official commissioning of the 14.8-kilometer Ikot Ubo–Odot Road in Nsit Ubium Local Government Area earlier yesterday.

Speaking to a crowd of enthusiastic supporters, Governor ENO underscored his commitment to delivering infrastructural development, ensuring the welfare of citizens, and maintaining security.

He noted that his responsibilities do not extend to interfering in the operations or editorial independence of the media.

The Governor was reacting to the stories concerning the eviction of certain Journalists from the Government House Press Corp in Akwa Ibom State.
