May 12, 2025 Akwa Ibom Commissioner of Police Calls For More Collaboration With Citizens to Stem Tide of Crime

Akwa Ibom State Commissioner of Police, CP BABA MOHAMMED AZARE, has called on citizens, including kidnap victims and their families, to provide useful information to the police to aid in understanding and combating kidnapping activities across the state.

Speaking with Inspiration FM, CP AZARE emphasized the vital role of collaboration between the police and the public in addressing the growing challenge of kidnappings.

While urging victims and their families to come forward with any relevant information, the Police Commissioner noted that such cooperation is essential for the command to gain deeper insight into the operations of kidnapping syndicates and to develop effective strategies to dismantle them.

CP AZARE acknowledged the significant challenges facing law enforcement in the fight against kidnapping but reaffirmed the police’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of Akwa Ibom residents.

He assured that the issue of kidnapping and other criminal activities will soon be brought under control in the state, as both the State Government and security agencies are implementing new security measures to address the situation.
