The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has postponed its 99th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting scheduled for Wednesday, March 13, 2025, to Thursday, May 15, 2025.
The party’s national secretary, UDEH OKOYE,yesterday disclosed that the postponement was due to emerging issues, including the need to conclude pending zonal, state, local government, and ward congresses.
OKOYE also noted that the National Working Committee (NWC) consulted with party leaders, stakeholders, and relevant organs, including the Board of Trustees, Governors’ Forum, and the PDP National Assembly Caucus, before making the decision.
This is not the first time the PDP has postponed its NEC meeting. Last year November, the party indefinitely postponed its 99th NEC meeting meeting several times, citing excuse like the funeral of the late First Lady of Akwa Ibom State, Mrs. Patience Umo Eno.
