The Akwa Ibom state government has announced the monthly state-wide environmental sanitation exercise set to take place on Saturday, February 22nd 2025.

The exercise starting from 7am till 10am will come with restriction on human and vehicular movement according to a release by the Akwa Ibom state environmental protection and waste management agency

Following this development, the chairman of agency, PRINCE IKIM will be working together with security agencies to ensure total compliance with this directive.

The government has also urged residents and commuters transporting through the borders to comply with this directive, noting that offenders will be prosecuted in the sanitation court.

It  has also encouraged community leaders to mobilize members of their respective communities to take part in this exercise for the well-being of the state.
