Gombe State Governor, MUHAMMADU YAHAYA, has commiserated with the Christian community in the state over the unfortunate incident that left no fewer than 22 persons injured.

Recall that a tragic accident occurred during a Christmas procession yesterday, when an unidentified driver rammed into participants, injuring many near the Women’s Centre, opposite Orji Estate, along the Gombe-Bauchi expressway.

The procession which is a regular ritual to show love and solidarity, was heading to Gombe Emir’s palace, from there to Government House for Christmas homage, before the incident occurred.

Lamenting the incident while receiving leaders of the Christian community led by the Christian Association of Nigeria, Governor YAHAYA promised ensure that all necessary medical assistance is provided to the victims.
