The Akwa State Commissioner of Police, WAHEED AYILARA has concluded his maiden tour of the 31 Local Government Areas, Area commands, Divisions and formations within the Command.

In a release signed the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP TIMFON JOHN, the purpose of the tour which commenced on 15th May 2024 and ended on 4^th July, 2024 was to assess the conditions of the Divisions, engage with stakeholders, deepen Local intelligence and also meet with members of the communities in Akwa Ibom State.

The Commissioner assured the communities of his commitment to work towards safeguarding the rights of the citizens of Akwa Ibom State by the already established Police Complaint Response Unit within the Command.

After directly interacting with Police Officers within the Area Commands, Divisions and Formations, he also assured them of management’s commitment towards their welfare while cautioning against unprofessional conducts.
