Unconfirmed report says FEMI OTEDOLA, one of Nigeria’s billionaires, has been offered the governorship ticket to contest on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party in Lagos state.

This was revealed by Celebrity journalist, DELE MOMODU, who informed also, that the son of the former Lagos governor has accepted the offer.

MOMODU tweeted: “Breaking news: Lagos 2019 promises to be interesting. PDP offers Femi Otedola governorship ticket. He has accepted and personally confirmed to The Boss newspaper…”

However, a member of the Lagos PDP who spoke to us under the condition of anonymity said the party see the report as a rumor but will be willing to offer OTEDOLA the ticket.

A former governor of Jigawa State, SULE LAMIDO, has responded to a statement in which former vice president, ATIKU ABUBAKAR said he would step down for him in the presidential race.

Both men are running for the ticket of opposition Peoples Democratic Party alongside about ten other aspirants.

At a meeting with PDP leaders in Dutse, Jigawa State on Monday, ATIKU ABUBAKAR said he believed LAMIDO would step down for him as his elder brother.

He said he believed LAMIDO would concede the ticket to him because the former governor is his younger brother and shares the same political ideology with him.

Responding to ABUBAKAR’s comment through a statement by his media aide, LAMIDO said he would not step down.

President Muhammadu Buhari has submitted his nomination and expression of interest forms for the 2019 presidential election at the All Progressives Congress National secretariat.

The president who was accompanied by some APC governors, ministers and party faithful, said he is taking the huge step with all humility, sense of responsibility and an unquestionable desire to serve and protect the interest of all Nigerians.

He gave the assurance that he would continue with the best of his ability if nominated and re-elected.

President Buhari further appeals to party members not to be complacent but prepare, strategize and win the 2019 election.

The senate president, Bukola Saraki and PDP presidential aspirant says Nigeria at this moment needs a digital president that is abreast with the new world social order which is private sector inclusive to enhance development in all sectors of the economy.

He was speaking at the Government House, Calabar the Cross River state capital on a courtesy call on Governor Ben Ayade.
