The Pride of Rivers, Rivers United will be Nigeria’s sole representative on the continent of Africa this season, after securing a 1-all draw against Libyan opponents Al-Nasr in the CAF Confederations cup playoffs. The reverse was the case however as Plateau United, could not hold on to their 1st Leg win over Al-Khader, conceding 3 unreplied goals to submit their 4-1 advantage, thereby dropping out of the continent. They conceded in the first half but came back strong in the second half to secure a draw, as Nyima Nwagua restored parity for the port harcourt side. 1-1 it ended and a spot in the group stages guaranteed for the Nigerian side.
