F1: McLaren to switch Engines

McLaren will switch from Honda to Renault engines from the 2018 season, sources have confirmed. The move is expected to be made official at this week’s Singapore Grand Prix.
The team have endured three wretched seasons under Honda power, failing to record a single podium finish, but the change of engine supplier should now mean two-time world champion Fernando Alonso stays at McLaren next season.

Honda are set to remain in F1 by supplying Toro Rosso with Carlos Sainz poised to move on loan to Renault as part of the French engine manufacturer’s agreement to supply McLaren instead of Toro Rosso next year.
